PROJECTS
We believe finding a cure starts with quality research. In 1981, we set forth a national project, in which each chapter contributes. We have donated over $815,000 to Howard University Cancer Research Center.
OCTOBER'S BREAST CANCER AWARENESS BREAKFAST/ LUNCHEON
A community event open to the public. During the breakfast we offer health information and have an expert in the field discuss current topics and answer questions.
MARCH'S FANCHON FLEMMING CANCER AWARENESS TEA
Another free event open to the community and a chance for us to show off our creative side. Tables are personally decorated by us and other volunteers. Various speakers discuss current health topics. We also take a moment to honor and celebrate those we love with a collective tea toast.
ANNUAL FUNDRAISER
Our annual fundraiser is la pièce de résistance! Usually MC'd by a local celebrity and full of great music, entertainment, games, food and lately...a Soul Train dance line! Join us in raising funds to further research endeavors in finding a cure for cancer, as well as, raise scholarship money to help local, hopeful students begin their post secondary education.
> April 20th, 2024:

OTHER LOCAL COMMUNITY EVENTS
We participate or volunteer in many of the local health and education awareness projects such as holding health forums, partaking in walk-a-thons, engaging in feeding the homeless projects and holding holiday toy drives.
